Chunkster Challenge 2011

  Complete

Wendy at caribousmom is hosting this fun challenge. The challenge sign-up post is here.

I have decided to sign up for the Plump Primer level and read 6 chunksters this year. That means reading six books over 450 pages long.

I have 5 on my list already that I plan to read this year:
1. Firefly Lane by Kristen Hannah

2. Freedom by Jonathan Franzen
3. Desperation by Stephen King
4. Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
5. Jewel by Bret Lott
6. The Regulators by Stephen King

Chunkster Challenge

Finished April, 2009
Ok. Only one more challenge. I decided to join the chunkster challenge. Several reading plans are offered. I have opted for the "Do These Books Make My Butt Look Big" plan, mostly because I thought it was funny. Rules from the Chunkster site:
*A chunkster is 450 pages or more of ADULT literature (fiction or nonfiction)
*No Audio books in the chunkster
*If you read large type books your book will need to be 525 pages or more
*Books may crossover with other challenges

Do These Books Make my Butt Look Big? - this option is for the slightly heavier reader who wants to commit to 3-5 Chunksters over the next ten months.

Here are my chunksters:

1. Dragonheart by Todd McCaffrey (544 pages) review here
2. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (480 pages) review here
3. The Memorist by M. J. Rose (464 pages) review here
4. The Story of Edgar Sawtelle (576 pages) review here
5. White Witch, Black Curse by Kim Harrison (504 pages) review here
